Welcome to Wild Walls: Your Vertical Adventure Begins Here.

Wild Walls Climbing Gym offers a very controlled and inviting environment to experience all that climbing can offer. Our expert staff are always ready to answer your questions and help you get started.  We offer Vertical Introduction classes where you will be instructed by one of our professional instructors who will guide you through the process of learning the knots, commands, and proper belay technique needed to climb safely. Vertical Introduction classes also include a free week of climbing (gear not included) and belay test. Our classes maintain a low student to teacher ratio in order to provide personal instruction.

We offer all the rental equipment needed, including shoes, harnesses, and belay equipment to fit all of our customers needs. We also offer children sizes, so they too can get the full climbing experience.

Challenge yourself to whatever extent you feel comfortable. Climb as high as you want and come down when you are ready. All you need is a positive attitude and the desire to try something new, exciting, and challenging.

What do I need to get started?

As a first time climber at our facility, you will either need to have previous belaying experience and need to be tested, or come sign-up for our Vertical Introduction Class. The class is offered on Tuesday and Thursday from 6-8pm, and Saturday from 4-6pm. Please give us a call @ 509-455-9596 to schedule.

What are my other options if I don’t want to take a class?

We have bouldering, which is a different style of climbing. Bouldering is a great way for beginners to try out climbing. There is no class required to boulder—giving you the freedom to come solo or with a group. Don’t worry, the 15 foot tall section is padded. Bouldering is always available to all levels of climbers.

Can I do it?

Probably. Almost anybody can climb. If you can climb a ladder, then you can climb our wall!

What if I fall?

There is no falling. If you let go of the wall, your belayer (who is holding the rope) will keep you from falling.

Is it expensive?

Indoor climbing is not expensive. You can purchase all the gear you’ll need for years of indoor climbing for under $200.00. Check out our membership prices and you’ll see they are competitive with other types of exercise facilities. As with any sport, the more you get into it, the more you can spend.

Is it safe?

At Wild Walls we do everything we can to minimize the risks involved in climbing. Our expert staff will teach you all the latest techniques, and we strictly enforce our rules and policies. It is important to understand that climbing is an inherently dangerous sport.

What if I’m afraid of heights?

It’s perfectly natural to be afraid of heights. You control how high you climb and when to come down. Our expert staff will explain to you the technique for coming down the wall before you get started climbing, and we will gladly assist you to the ground if needed. Repeatedly facing your fear of heights is the most effective way of conquering it.
